John Strasburger CFP®
Wealth Advisor
My path into financial planning didn't follow a straight line, and I think that's actually shaped how I work with clients. I studied biology at West Chester University and spent several years in the biopharmaceutical industry at Teva. The whole time, though, I was drawn to finance in a way that went beyond curiosity. I was listening to economics podcasts on my lunch breaks, writing a weekly financial newsletter that I shared with family and friends, and quietly working toward a CFP® designation while still employed full-time.
When Samantha and I got married, it became personal. I wanted to understand how to build a strong financial future for our family, and the more I learned, the more I wanted to help others do the same. By 2022, I had made the full transition, and I haven't looked back.
What I love most about this work is the range of people it brings into my life. Every client has a different story, a different set of priorities, and a different relationship with money. My job is to meet them where they are and help bring clarity to the picture. The moments that mean the most to me are when someone walks in feeling uncertain and walks out with a clear sense of where they stand and what their next step is.
My wife, Samantha, was my biggest supporter through the career change, even as we were starting our family. We now have four kids, Mira, Hugo, Mylo, and Ruby, and a rescue dog named Louie who outranks all of us. Music has been a constant throughout my life. I play guitar and sing at LCBC Church as part of the Worship & Arts team, as well as at wineries and local venues. And yes, I'm a Yankees fan. I got Derek Jeter's autograph when I was seven years old, and that was pretty much that.
